I am in my office on a Saturday morning and thinking about our services tomorrow. I am wondering what has happened in America. As a young child I can remember my parents taking me to Sunday School and Church. I can remember going to Vacation Bible School. I loved it. As I got a little older, I discovered that the church has night services as well as Wednesday night service. My older brother and I would walk a couple miles at night just so we could go. I remember Pastor Edwards and how he love us boys. He had a profound influence in my wanting to be a pastor. Today, things have changed. People don’t think church is so important. It is just something that we do if we feel up to it or have nothing else to do. We live in evil times and if I understand the Bible, we need to be together in church more, not less. Hebrews 10:24-25 – 24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. You see, as the world becomes less godly and more accepting of godlessness, it is becoming harder to live a committed Christian life. So, we are exhorted to meet together and draw love, acceptance and encouragement as we face the everyday battles of life. SO, THIS SUNDAY, WHY NOT TRY CHURCH AGAIN. YOU JUST MIGHT BE GLAD YOU DID.
