EPHESIANS 6:19-20 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
2 Corinthians 5:16-21 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
An ambassador is someone who does not have the right to speak for themselves. Everything they say is to be what the one they represent would say if they were there themselves. I have no right to have an opinion of anything Jesus said. It is my duty to just relay to others what He says. He said He was the only way to the Father. I have no right to say there may be some other way. He said that He came to save those that were lost. I have no right then to say He came so people could have good things. He said I was to be a witness for Him, therefore I have no right to keep quiet.
Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
We are His ambassadors. We are His mouth, His ears, His eyes, His feet and His hands. We have no rights. We are His and totally His.
I Corinthians 6:19 – 20 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
Let’s all commit to be what He bought us to be. His witnesses.
