The FRAMEWORK – Thursday

no-fool

If you believe and have fully surrendered you know the answer to the three questions.

1.) Where did I come from? (You were created)

2.) What is my purpose? (Serve God)

3.) Is there life after death? (You have eternal life)

The good news is we are no longer condemned by God’s law because we have been saved by his grace through Jesus Christ our Lord. The bad news is our sinful nature was not taken away. God the Holy Spirit took residents in our fleshly body, so we have to learn to discipline our sinful nature.

Romans 6 16-18 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

For us to have success in our spiritual walk, and be a testimony of God’s grace we have to obey God’s word. This requires us to pray, read the Bible, and follow the direction that God the Holy Spirit leads us in. Learn to take one step at a time, and you will reach the finish line.

James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

Psalm 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

1 Corinthians 9:24-27  Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

If you stumble and fall, get up, dust yourself off and get back in the race. God is right there with you. Remember you can never disappoint God but you can grieve the Holy Spirit. It breaks God’s heart when he sees us struggling, the same way a parent feels when they see their children struggling.

Prayer: Lord help me to yield my desires to your will. Please give me the ears to hear, the heart to receive, and the mind to obey. Let my life be a testimony of your love for me and others.
