God’s plan is designed to redeem mankind from his fallen state. We would not know this if God’s Word didn’t exist. God created man to enjoy His company and His creation. Man rebelled in disobedience to God and believed a lie instead of the truth. God in his infinite love sent his only begotten son, Jesus Christ to shed his blood on the cross of Calvary for the remission of our sins. Jesus was buried and rose again to give us eternal life in the kingdom of heaven. The alternative is to reject Christ and spend eternity in hell. When we turn away from our sin and put our faith and trust in Jesus and Jesus alone, we are sealed with God the Holy Spirit. He has secured a place for us in heaven and we are saved from the judgment that is to come.
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
There are multitudes of lost souls wandering aimlessly in this world, in our states, our cities and our communities and even in our churches. Some do not know they are lost, some are searching for purpose.
The question is: DO YOU BELIEVE?
1 John 2:15-17 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
What is the will of God? We are to obey and share His Word. We are to be salt and light to those wandering in darkness.
1 Timothy 2:5-6 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
Do you really believe? True belief requires action. True belief requires surrender. Have you surrendered?
Prayer: Lord, I have put my faith and trust in Jesus Christ. Please help me to surrender my will, to yours. Give me the compassion to love those who are lost. Give me the boldness to share your word.
