We have probably all heard someone say there is no absolute truth. The question you need to ask them is, are you sure that statement is absolutely true?
Let’s look at absolute truth in the realm of one’s behavior because that is where truth is mostly challenged.
The absolute truth of God’s Word deals with the moral laws and principles by which mankind is governed by and will be accountable for. God’s word is constant, it never changes, it is perfect, it is without error. When mankind steps outside of God’s word and makes their own laws, they are not constant, nor are they flawless. They are destructive.
GOD’S MORAL LAW IS PRESENT IN THEIR HEARTS
Romans 2:14-15 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)
Someone who doesn’t have a relationship with God, even though they know right from wrong, are governed by the things that satisfy their flesh.
They live in darkness.
John 3:19-20 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
The problem is they are fallen
Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
God knows the fallen nature of mankind because He created them.
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
GODS WORD IS LAW. That is the absolute truth.
