In order to impart, you must be engaged in the life of others.

If I never engage people at home, at work, at school or even at play, I have no way to encourage others to follow after Jesus. If the only time I engage others is when I have something to complain about or fuss about, I have disqualified myself as being able to bring them to Jesus or help them grow in their faith. I must earn the right to share with others.

Romans 14:13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way.

EXAMPLE: That is what I must be if I am going to earn the right to engage others in their Christian growth. Those of you who know me know that I have talked about my past anger issues. I lived life angry and mad, as a believer! Now tell me, how could I possibly help anyone follow after Jesus when I am angry all the time. I couldn’t. If I have a good home, how can I use it to encourage others if I never have anyone in my home who is struggling in their own home? You get the point? Imparting Holiness involves me living the right example. I have to gain the respect of others in order to share with them what they need. Ask the Lord to help you in your areas of weakness.

Prayer: Father, help me to engage others and be friendly and kind. Let me share Your love in such a way that others will want to live for you. Please lead me to that one who you are preparing for me to engage. I love You and will do all that I can to honor you in how I live. In Jesus’ name, amen

Today’s verse –

Ephesians 5:1-2 – Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
