MORE PIECES, SAME FRUIT CONTINUED! – Day 6

Galatians522_23c

Today we will look at the maturity of this fruit.  These last three things, when developed, lead to full spiritual maturity in our lives.  By allowing this fruit to grow, we develop a total spirit of Christ-likeness.

Philippians 2:5  Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:.

You and I can truly have the Mind of Christ in all matters of life.  We can do what Jesus does.  We can be the light of the world.  We can be Jesus with skin on so that all the world may know

  1. Faith – The ability to believe God –

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

2. Meekness – True Humility –

1 Peter 5:6  Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

Philippians 2:8  And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

3. Temperance: The ability to control one’s actions.

1 Thessalonians 5:22  Abstain from all appearance of evil.

Philippians 4:8  Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

How well are we doing as a church, as a family and as individuals become the image of Jesus Christ?  How does the world perceive us as they examine our lives and look for something that is real and lasting?  Will you, as a family or individual commit your lives so to Christ that you will allow Him to develop the fruit of the Spirit in our life?  Together we can change the world one person at a time.

Prayer:  Father, I ask that today you open our hearts to all you have designed us for.  May we allow this wonderful fruit of the Spirit to develop in our hearts!  Help us to let our lights so shine before others that they will ultimately glorify God in their lives also. In Jesus name, amen.
