ENJOYING THE FRUIT – Day 4

gal522

One of the beauties of being a believer is what God produces in each of us. We are given different gifts, but all by the same Spirit. When you came to Jesus by faith, God planted the seeds of this fruit in your heart. Just as a seed you plant in the ground needs cultivated, so does the seed of the fruit that God has planted in your heart.

1. Love – The desire to put the needs of someone else ahead of your own needs. I Corinthians 13 gives us 15 things love entails. Patience, kindness, no jealousy, humility, not arrogant, behaves well, unselfish, gentle, forgiveness, righteousness, joy in truth, strength, trust, faith and endurance.

WOW: What a wonderful thing God has produced in each of us.

2. Joy – The learning to totally rely upon God for all that is in our lives.

Nehemiah 8:10 – Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.

The joy He gives supersedes anything man has to offer.

3. Peace – The unexplainable condition that only a true believer in Christ can experience –

John 14:27 – Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

During the most troubled times of life, God’s peace is able to transcend all the feelings of fear and despair that Satan might send your way.

Verse for today: Galatians 5:22a – But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace…

Prayer: Father, thank you for sharing Your love with us and filling our hearts with Your joy, Your peace. During the hard times of this life, remind us of the Spirit of love, joy and peace you have filled our lives with. May our fruit be so, that others would desire to see and test. We ask in Jesus name, amen

Psalm 34:8 – O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
