Well, the most important thing of this week is this. DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU BELIEVE AND WHY YOU BELIEVE IT? Do you have a faith in God that you rely upon to sustain you in the time of trouble and sorrow?
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
1. Know Him in who you believe –
2 Timothy 1:12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
2. Know what His word says –
Psalms 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
3. Be sure enough of your faith to be able to tell others about it.
1 Peter 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
Today, share with someone what you believe about Jesus, His word and your faith. Let the whole world know that Jesus is alive. In order to let the whole world know, we must first let at least one person know. Winning the community to Jesus begins with you winning the one God brings into your life. Ask your children how you can, as a family, share Jesus with others. Be a family of winners of hearts to Jesus.
Psalms 91:2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
PRAYER: Heavenly father, I believe, help my unbelief. I ask you to increase my faith in you today. Help us as a family to honor you and get to know you in a more personal way. May we be faithful in our commitment as a family in serving you at home, at church and in our community! I pray in Jesus’ name, amen.
