BEING OF THE SAME MIND

We need to understand that we are to be unified in our relationship with Christ and with each other. We are all different. We like different music, different reading material, different ball teams, different weather and even different people. We are however, ALL UNITED IN CHRIST AS BELIEVERS and need to share a common goal and a common purpose.
Our purpose – To glorify Christ

1 Corinthians 6:20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
1 Corinthians 10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

Our goal – To bring others into the family of God.

Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Our love –

John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

How has your unity with the believers been this week? Do you share a common purpose, goal and love with the other believers in your church? If not, why not. Ask your family today what you as a family can do to glorify God. What can you do together to bring neighbors and friends to Jesus and how can you show your love in your community of believers?

Are you setting an example for others to follow?

1 Corinthians 11:1  Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.

MEMORY VERSE:

Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus

PRAYER: Father, let us set a godly example for others to follow. Help us to show others the Love of Christ in a way that will cause them to want to come to Jesus. Thank you for leading me to you. Now, use us to lead others to you. We love you and thank you for a church that we can be part of and serve you with others. May we share in our church’s purpose, goal and love, I pray in Jesus’ name, amen.
