The hardest thing in life for me is to stand back and watch God work. I want to do it myself.
He made me.
He made the world.
He knows better than I do what I need.
1. God’s idea for your success is far greater than that which you can achieve on your own. –
Isaiah 55:9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
2. God has planned out your entire life . –
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
3. God is THE GREAT provider –
Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
4. Waiting for God to move is the RIGHT thing. –
Psalm 52:7-9 Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness. But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God for ever and ever. I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.
Be honest today and share your fears with those you are around. Ask your kids about their fears and pray with them. Ask God to help them lay their burdens down and let Jesus carry the load for them.
1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Prayer: Father, I admit I try all too often to run my own life. I realize that I cannot plan out my future as well as you have. Today, I commit to trust you with my life. I will allow you to do your work in my life and I will trust you with all that I have. Thank you for caring enough about me to plan my life. In Jesus’ name, amen.
