Accepted – “What Christ did for us.”

For us to be like minded or in agreement we must look at every born-again believer as God does.

God see us as clothed in righteousness. God sees us as sinless.

We have a tendency to judge ourselves and other believers based on our expectations. We are told to judge the actions, but our approach should be done with love and the intent should be to encourage and restore.

(Have you ever judge someone’s intent?)

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

“All” is inclusive, no one is exempt. The unbeliever sins because they are in sinners. Believers, whom God the Holy Spirit resides in, sin because they have the same sinful body.

Romans 7:24-25 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

None of us did anything to earn God’s acceptance.

 Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  Not of works, lest any man should boast.

God planned it, prepared it, performed it and perfected it.
All that we had to do was it receive that gift.

(Discuss God’s unconditional love and mercy with your family or friends)

Christianity is not a religion, it is a relationship with a Holy God. In religion you are motivated by the fear that you have to perform in order to gain God’s acceptance. Religion reaches up to God. In relationship you are motivated by love because you’ve been accepted as you are. God reached down to us.

We are all equally important to important to God. He loved and forgave us, we should love and forgive others. God forgets what we remember. Sin. He remembers what we forget. We are human.

Psalm 103:12  As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

(Dwell on that today)
