The Comforter

“Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you”. (John 14:17,18)

We have something Old Testament saints did not enjoy. We have the indwelling of God’s precious Holy Spirit. The Spirit comforts, guides, teaches, convicts and empowers us.

You can buy a top of the line refrigerator, load it up with food but if you never plug it in to the power source then it is unable to function the way it was designed to. You will end up with a refrigerator full of spoiled food. The same principle applies to the Christian life, we have a power source called the Holy Spirit, but if we never seek His guidance, then we are not living to our full potential.

Seek His counsel. Ask Him to teach you God’s word.

Think about it. Our God, through His Spirit lives in you. Now that’s what I’m talking about. Love you all. Have a great day
