The Peace of God

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”                Philippians 4:6, 7
That peace that passes all understanding is sometimes hard to even imagine, but yet God promises just that.

We are told we do not need to worry. Instead, we need to bring all our “stuff” to Him with an attitude of thankfulness for what He has already done.

He doesn’t want us to share our problems with Him- we are to GIVE them to Him,

1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Oswald Chambers said  ( author of the devotional “My Utmost For His Highest)

“We tend to use prayer as a last resort, but God wants it to be our first line of defense. We pray when there’s nothing else we can do, but God wants us to pray before we do anything at all.

Most of us would prefer, however, to spend our time doing something that will get immediate results. We don’t want to wait for God to resolve matters in His good time because His idea of ‘good time’ is seldom in sync with ours.”

Today, thank Him for the many blessings you already have.

Love you all. Count your blessings, see what God has done,
