Strength In Time Of Trouble

“But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord : he is their strength in the time of trouble. And the Lord shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.” (Psalms 37:39, 40)

Sometimes it looks like evil will win, but do not worry, God is keeping score and payday is just ahead.

One day God will tell THE SON it’s enough, go bring my children home.

On that grand and glorious day, those who know Jesus will know it has been worth it all. Those who don’t will forever be separated from a loving God. Don’t lose hope, Jesus is coming soon.

While we are waiting we can rest assured that He is our strength in time of trouble, He is able to see us through anything, His yoke is easy and His burden is light. He is our helper! Hebrews 13:6 tells us not to be timid in approaching the Lord for help!

“So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.”

Take comfort knowing that your Savior intercedes on your behalf before the Father

,seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. Hebrews 7:25b

Stay strong, stay committed to your faith, YOU dear friend can walk in confidence knowing that the heavenly Father watches over you. Yes, you will still have troubles, becoming a Christian didn’t give you a hall pass from life’s problems but you need not fear only to be about the Father’s business for when that trumpet does sound it will be too late to warn our family and friends.

Is Your Faith Known?

“First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world. For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers”; (Romans 1:8,9)

What a testimony to have your faith known world wide!

Paul wrote that salutation to the believers in Rome. He was expressing his joy and gratitude for their faithfulness in giving to support the gospel.

You know what?

When you are involved in giving to missions your faith is known throughout the whole world. At Liberty we have missionaries that we support all over the world.

Yes Liberty, your faith is known all over the world!

As a Pastor I am so thankful for your unselfish giving to 23 different mission projects. By faith, in 2014 we will reach out even more.

But look again at the last part of verse 9, Paul said “I make mention of you always in my prayers.”

There is nothing greater you can do for a friend, than to consistently lift their name in prayer before the throne of heaven!

Think about that.

The same, Creator of the universe, the God who parted the Red Sea, the One who rescued the three from the fiery furnace, who shut the lions mouth to save Daniel, He calmed the storm, healed the sick, raised the dead, and I could go on and on.

The same God who did all those miracles mentioned in the Bible is the same God we serve today. He still does miracles, His power has not diminished, His ears are not closed.

He waits for us to call upon him.

Do you know someone out of work? A friend who is sick, a brother or sister in need of encouragement? Perhaps you even know someone without any problems! They can still benefit from the power of prayer

Today let your faith be known, share in the victory by praying for others.

Love u all, Pastor Tilly

What The World Needs Now

“These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren”. (Acts 1:14)

You want to know what this world needs?

It is simple.

We need a church that is united in His love and His mission. The world is not looking for a church that shoots it’s wounded, but one that comforts the broken-hearted and goes the extra mile to lend a hand to the hurting. Read the book of Acts and learn for yourself the principles the early church adopted and how they cared for each other.

John 13:35 tell us “By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”

This week show someone how much you care, actions speak louder than words. Let the world see the real church that Jesus gave His life for.

“No one cares how much you know, until they know how much you care” — Theodore Roosevelt

Someone to worry about?

“Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way.”(Romans 14:13)

Ok, here it is! Don’t worry about what the other guy is doing. Worry instead about what you are doing.

Are you causing someone else to miss Christ because of your condescending attitude?

Are you strong enough to stay RIGHT when someone else FAILS?

Today, worry about how one person lives, YOU!

Leave the other guy up to The Lord.

Love ya all. Have a great TGIF.

Thought Life

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” (Philippians 4:8)

What do you spend your time thinking about? Negative, destructive thoughts about people and life or the things God tells us in His Word to think on?

You see, your thought life can lead you to godly things or away from them.

“Watch your thoughts, they become words;
watch your words, they become actions;
watch your actions, they become habits;
watch your habits, they become character;
watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.”

(author unknown)

Today, get rid of the thoughts that are holding you down and focus on those things that are lovely. There is an old song that says HE is altogether lovely. Nothing is lovelier to think on than our Savior, Jesus, start there, let your thoughts rest on Him, read your Bible, and see for yourself if it doesn’t improve your though life!

Have a great day. He loves you. Enjoy His love today

Master Of The Wind

“And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased”. (Matthew 14:31, 32)

Storms often arise in our daily lives. If you are like me, you may have a tendency to become a little fearful and yes, even a little worried. Sometimes it is during those storms that miracles happen. Peter walked on the water during the storm UNTIL he took his eyes off of Jesus.

Whatever your storm is right now, look to Him. HE IS THE MASTER OF THE WIND.

Love u all. Have an awesome Wednesday.

Mind Control

“And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;” Ephesians 5:18, 19

What are you filling your mind with?

Are you thinking about His goodness or someone who has wronged you? Are you thinking about His mercy or how to get revenge?

Philippians 4:8 (nkjv)Finally, brethren,
whatever things are true, whatever things are noble,
whatever things are just, whatever things are pure,
whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report,
if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

We are creatures of habit, from the moment we wake up there are patterns in our life that we follow. Whether we get dressed before that first cup of coffee or after, when we eat breakfast, exercise, etc. Our thoughts, good or bad can become habits or patterns too. Some say it takes 21- 30 days to form a new habit or break an old one.

Take the challenge to replace negative thoughts with positive ones. For the next 30 days find time to start your day in the Word, read from Psalms it is a great book of praise! The ancient Levites sang specific songs for each day of the week. Read them or search and find your own Psalms that have special meaning to you.

Sunday: Psalm 24.
Monday: Psalm 48.
Tuesday: Psalm 82.
Wednesday: Psalm 94, followed (in many communities) by the first three verses of Psalm 95.
Thursday: Psalm 81.
Friday: Psalm 93.
Saturday: Psalm 92.
Today fill your heart with joyful praise and worship that will cause your focus to be on Jesus. Don’t let the devil control your heart and Mind , they both belong to Jesus.

Have a blessed Saturday. Love u all.
