Modern Christianity

As a pasor, I am taken back by the MODERN Christianity.  Seems we all want to put our spin on what we think Christianity is.  Problem is, there is no MODERN Christianity.  We are either Christians or we are not.  The term Christians was given to the early disciples by the people of the city because they reflected Christ in their lives. Acts 11:26  And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch. They stood out.  They were different.  Their lives had been changed.  They acted different, they talked different and they lost the fear of what others would do.  They were not ashamed of who they were or who their God was.  Romans 1:16  For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.  The world does not need more of the same.  They need to see transformed lives that will draw them out of what they are in into what we have.  We are commanded to be different.  2 Corinthians 6:17  Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,  I am so afraid that the average Christian and the average church walks as close to the world as they possibly can.  So much so, that they blend it and have no impact on the world with the Gospel.  I challenge you today, stand up and be different.  Let the true power of the Holy Spirit rule in your life today.  God bless you and hope to see you all at Liberty real soon.
