I am sitting at my desk. It is 1:00 Thursday morning and my wife is in the kitchen preparing what will surely be a feast. I am wondering how it is that she can work for hours only to see us eliminate all that food in a matter of about 3o minutes. Turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce, green peas, green bean casurole, dessert all gone in just 3o minutes. WOW. I am so blessed to have a wife who still thinks cooking is good, baking is enjoyable and family is her life. I am so blessed to have her and even more blessed to watch the joy she has as she prepares to serve her family.
As I am here tonight, I am wondering, what if we all had that joy in serving. Our Lord Jesus served us with His life. He gave all so that we could live. Today, as your family is gathered around the table, stop, reflect and give thanks for all you have. Psalms 106:1 Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
Our God is good and His mercy does endure for ever.
