It doesn’t matter what they say

Matthew 5:11-12 – “11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. 12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.”
What are you living for? If you are after the praise of man, you may well miss out on the greatest thing know unto man. Heaven.

We are told by Jesus Himself, that we will be blessed when we endure persecution because of our relationship with Him. People may not understand. People may well make fun of you. People may even screen you out of their lives. Jesus said this would happen.

The awesome part? Jesus is keeping track and He will one day hand out rewards for those who have faithfully endured the persecution of others. Hang in there, He is keeping track. Remember, God loves you and so do I.

Matthew 18:27, 29-30,32-35 –  27  Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt.; 29  And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. 30  And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt. 32  Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me: 33  Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee? 34  And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. 35  So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

I preparing Sunday’s message on the result of bitterness.  Note two words in Vs 34-35 – tormentors, likewise.  Not to forgive unleashes a ton of trouble into our lives.  This passage was Jesus responding to His disciples, in particular, Peter.  He explained to them that our heavenly Father would deliver even His own to be tormented if they fail to forgive.  Do you see the seriousness that God puts on this forgiveness thing?  God has forgiven ALL my sin., all of it.  How dare me not forgive anything that another believer does.  I have been betrayed, I have been cheated, I have been talked about, my family has been attacked, AND GOD SAYS, GENE, YOU HAVE NO CHOICE, YOU MUST FORGIVE.  Forgiveness will bring freedom into your life.  I know, I have decided to live with forgiveness as part of my life.  God will deliver, but I must forgive.

If you are reading this and you are not a believer, do not let what others do keep you from finding God’s forgiveness and gift of life through His son Jesus.  People do things that should not do.  THAT IS WHY FORGIVENESS IS NECESSARY.  God is willing to remove ALL your sin from you and fill your heart with His joy and His peace.

If you would like to know more, private message me and we can have a private talk.

Love ya all and God loves you even more.

Go and tell!!!

Acts 8:31 – 31 ” And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.”
As Phillip road by the man who was reading, he understood something very important. Non-believers need someone to SHOW them the way in the scriptures. They can not understand what the Bible is saying unless someone tells them. Who will you tell about Jesus today?

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭5:8‬ ‭
What a day that was. God giving His life for sinful men like me. God did not wait for me to be good. He gave His son because I was not good. Have you given your life to Him yet? If not, this Easter season is the best time for you to call on him. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:13‬ ‭
Call on Him today. He is waiting

Acts 8:30-35 – 30 And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest? 31 And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him. 32 The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth: 33 In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth. 34 And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man? 35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.

There it is, right there in verse 31.  I NEED SOMEONE TO GUIDE ME. People need Jesus, but many don’t even know it.  It is up to us, you and me, to take Jesus to people.  Someone took the time to tell me about Him and I have the responsibility to tell others about Him.  Let’s do it.  Let’s all be Phillip’s.  We can do this.  You and I are all God needs.  I for one will make Him known.

Wouldn’t it be nice!

Luke 11:4 And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.

There it is.  Forgive.

What would happen if you suddenly decided to forgive everyone who has offended you?  Freedom, that’s what.  My friend, if you are holding a grudge toward someone, they are in control of your every move.  Forgiveness is the only thing that will set you free.

Today, right now, ask God to give you the grace to forgive.  He gave Jesus to forgive your sin and you and I fall short of what He requires, yet, He forgives.  Even on the cross Jesus said, Father forgive them, for they know not what they are doing.  Stephen, when they were stoning him to death, said, Father, lay not this sin to their charge. Stephen entered into heaven with forgiveness as his lifestyle.

How about you?  If you stood before Jesus today, would you enter into His presence with a heart of total forgiveness, or would you enter in with a bitter resentful heart?

You decide.  Your choice.

Wouldn’t it be nice if all believers just lived a life of forgiveness.  Then, just maybe, the world would be drawn to what we have.  Remember, God loves you and so do I.

Wouldn’t it be great!!!!!

Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) 24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

Often we look at politicians and wonder if they are even from the same planet.  We wonder out loud what it would be like if they could actually get along.

Guess what, it isn’t going to happen.  You know what is sadder?

When the church cannot get along.  Too many in the church want their way or else.  Now don’t get me wrong, when it comes to the word of God, there is no my way or your way, it is just His way.

We, however, are to work with one another in the spirit of love and unity to spread the gospel to those in need of a Savior.  We need to work with one another to help those in need of food and clothing and shelter, and yes, encouragement.

Let’s get this right.

We are to be strong in our faith and we are supposed to help others produce love and good works.  Ask yourself these questions.

  • Who have I encouraged to come along side of me and help in the work?
  • Who have I encouraged with the Love of Jesus today?
  • Do others see the love of Christ displayed in my life on a day-to-day basis?
  • Do I use the excuse that things just are not going good for me right now as justification for be disconnected and un-engaged with the body?

Isn’t it time for His body to do what He says for us to do?  Join me today in putting into practice Hebrews 10:23-24 and let’s encourage someone in their faith today.  Remember God loves you and so do I.
